The total length of all defense walls in this period is over 50,000 km! If you combined all this stonework into one wall that was one meter thick and five meters wide, it would stretch well over 400,000 km! 

There were actually several Great Walls built during this 2,700 year period. We are most familiar with the 5,000 km wall built during the Ming Dynasty that still remains, however, a wall constructed during the Han dynasty was twice as long!
