The reef is 1800 miles long. It contains the largest collection of coral in the planet (400 different kinds!) It’s also home to mollusks, sponges, rays, dolphins, 1500 species of tropical fish, 200 species of birds, 20 types of reptiles including sea turtles, and some giant clams that over 120 years old.
