It is then customary for the bride's family to cook all the meals for the newlyweds for the first week of their marriage, so they can relax. Free food in exchange for getting pinched? I'd say that's a pretty good trade-off. 

After the wedding, the guests will toss green wheat instead of rice at the newlyweds. They then have an elaborate parade from the wedding to the reception, complete with drummers and belly dancers.
