Blue whales can weigh 100 tons, with some reaching weights of 150 tons. To carry that kind of weight on land, the blue whales would have to have similarly heavy bones. Instead, the blue floats in the water, which eliminates the need for that much support.

Of course, in space, whales are weightless, so that would be an even easier for th- oh wait, oxygen, sorry...
