If you're a Canadian, you'd probably be surprised to hear that the answer is your kitchen towel. But that was the result of a study by the Hygiene Council. They investigated 20 Canadian homes and found that 20% of them were highly infected with E. coli bacteria.
In comparison, kitchen towels in Germany and in the U.S. were found to have less E. coli. Of course, 20 homes per country is way too low for a reasonable sample size. Still, make sure to clean your towels, eh?
